Hi, I’m Yasmine, the person behind Local Leash. I’ve always had a real love for dogs. Growing up, I had a chocolate Labrador who was a very special part of our family, and my love for dogs has continued ever since. Over the years, I’ve regularly helped family and friends with their dogs, from taking them on walks to looking after them and making sure they’re happy, comfortable and well cared for. Alongside Local Leash, I also work in the NHS as a Senior MSK Clinician, so caring for others has always been a big part of my life. I wanted to create a service where dog owners can feel confident knowing their dogs are in safe and loving hands. I understand that every dog is different, with their own personality, routine and needs. My aim is to get to know each dog individually and give them the attention, care and companionship they deserve.

Working as an MSK Clinician in the NHS has shown me the value of thoughtful, individual care and the comfort that comes from being truly listened to. I bring that same steady, attentive approach to every Local Leash visit.
Outside of work, I am happiest outdoors — running, swimming, and spending time in the fresh air. I have recently completed several half marathons and am also learning to play the piano. That appreciation for routine, movement, and calm carries through into the thoughtful way I care for every pet.
